Bill Summary

The peace officers standards and training board (P.O.S.T. board) currently provides a training curriculum for peace officers to recognize and address incidents of abuse and exploitation of persons 70 years of age and older. The act requires the P.O.S.T. board to provide a similar training curriculum on abuse and exploitation of persons 18 years of age and older who have an intellectual and developmental disability.
