requests.  She summarized the state budget process, provided an overview
of various department's state budgets, and highlighted specific department
budget requests.

Representative Ransom,
JBC, discussed budget requests from the Department of Military and Veterans
Affairs, including funding for a women's veterans service officer, employee
salary increases, technology updates, and delegation visits. Joint Budget
Committee members responded to committee questions regarding salary increases.

Senator Moreno, JBC,
discussed budget requests from the Department of State, including funding
for election security services and for website and database updates. JBC
members responded to committee questions regarding evidence-based budget
requests. The JBC members gave closing remarks.
