Joy Moore, Deputy Chief Financial Officer
of the Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Emily Travanty,
Scientific Director Colorado State Public Health Laboratory, presented
on CDPHE's FY 2020-21 budget request: Newborn Screening Laboratory Information
Management System.

CDPHE is requesting $1,575,000 in cash
funds spending authority to replace and upgrade the laboratory information
management system that supports the Colorado Newborn Screening program.




Ms. Travanty responded to questions from the committee about the program,
the conditions tested for in the laboratory information management system,
and data privacy.



Luisa Altmann, Legislative Council Staff, came to the table and answered
committee questions.
