Priola, co-prime sponsors, explained SB20B-001

concerning support for entities impacted by severe capacity restrictions
due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and, in connection therewith, making an appropriation.



 

The senators explained that the bill provides relief for businesses in
highly impacted communities and answered questions about eligiblity and
application.

L.001 addresses eligibility requirements;

L.002 is a technical clean-up;

L.003 eliminates certain references;

L.004  addresses county compliance;

L.005 changes the process for DOLA to allocate funds;

L.006 streamlines the allocation process;

L.007 addresses local government allocations;

L.009 addresses restrictions around the level red in the COVID dialup dashboard;
and

L.011 adds film and television.

 

Senator Winter noted that additional amendments may be forthcoming about
tasting rooms and other small businesses.
