Hansen, co-sponsors of the bill, introduced Senate Bill 21-072, which would
expand electric transmission facilities to potentially enable Colorado
to meet its clean energy goals. The bill would also create the Colorado
electric transmission authority.

a fact sheet on Senate Bill 21-072 (Attachment A) and a letter to the committee
asking for support for the bill (Attachment B). Senator Hansen gave a presentation
via PowerPoint (Attachment C) that provided an overview of electric power
in the United States. He also discussed how his bill will impact Coloradans
which included cost savings and increased employment. Public Testimony
submitted for this bill can be found in Attachment D.
