Mr. Martinez confirmed that Senator Martinez Humenik had identified all of the potential bill concepts being brought forth by the advisory task force. He stated that additional information about the proposals could be provided for bill drafting purposes by September 21.

Representative Benavidez discussed a bill concept to increase compensation to mental health providers in rural areas that contract with the Department of Corrections and to use tele-psychiatry when appropriate and available. In response to a question, Representative Benavidez said she would be open to including other ways to incentivize mental health providers.
