Senator Lee made opening remarks. 

Senators Gardner and Lee, co-prime sponsors, explained SB20-062, concerning the enactment of the Colorado Revised Statutes 2019 as the positive and statutory law of the state of Colorado. 

Jennifer Gilroy, Office of Legislative Legal Services (OLLS), explained the legal purposes of the bill and distributed a handout about the changes it makes (Attachment A).

SB20-063 - Amended, referred to the Committee of the Whole - Consent Calendar

Senator Lee explained SB20-063, concerning the recodification of statutory provisions governing the Department of Law.

Kurt Morrison, representing the Department of Law, explained the recodification process and provided background. 

Senator Lee presented Amendment L. 001 (Attachment B) and explained that it addresses cases where the Attorney General needs to hire outside counsel. 

Bob Lacker, OLLS, made himself available for questions.
