The bill allows the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to use location information derived from a motor vehicle's communication transportation infrastructure for the purpose of facilitating and managing traffic. The bill does not allow CDOT to use non-public information, derived from communication between motor vehicles or between a motor vehicle and the vehicle's manufacturer without a court order. 02:15:50 PM Andy Karsian, representing CDOT, testified in support of the bill. He explained the kind of data that would be collected under the bill.
