Representative Young, bill sponsor, presented House Bill 20-1090 and requested that the bill be postponed indefinitley.  The bill requires retail pharmacies to notify prescription drug customers that a prescription reader is available to individuals who are blind or visually impaired, and to provide one upon request and free of charge for the duration of the customer's prescription.



The bill exempts prescriptions of drugs not dispensed in certain labeled containers, prescription drugs received through the mail, and pharmacies operated by correctional institutions or governmental agencies.
