Representative McKluskie,
prime sponsor, introduced House Bill 21-1139 concerning the renewal of
driver licenses and identification cards by mail and electronically.  In
addition, the bill allows more individuals to sign minor driver logs to
be used for instruction permits.  The bill requires individuals over
the age of 80 to have and attest that they have had an eye exam within
the last 6 months when renewing a license.  The bill will allow individuals
to renew online electronically, as long as the photo on file with the Department
of Revenue is recent as required by federal law.
