Capitol Fencing Update - Committee Discussion Only


	01:36:39 PM	The committee was called to order.
	01:37:19 PM	The committee took a brief recess to see a mock-up of the fencing that was approved at the August 20, 2021 committee meeting.
	01:37:36 PM	The committee came back to order.
	01:53:57 PM	The committee talked about next steps for the approval process for the fencing. The committee discussed adjustments to the fence design.
	01:56:06 PM	The committee discussed the finial design, including a preference for a traditional triangular design, rather than inclusion of the letter "C".
	01:57:07 PM	There was some agreement on a more delicate finial. If the letter "C" is used it should be more stylistic, rather than modern, as in the mock-up fence.
	01:57:59 PM	There may be other option to discuss, as funding is no longer available. The committee will need to make a new funding request, perhaps through the Joint Budget Committee.
	01:58:50 PM	Chair Lontine approved a paper mock up on and slide show, as requested by Rick Lee. Mr. Lee will facilitate the process. Cindi Markewell requested a rendering to see how the fence would look around the Capitol building.
