Approval of Continuity of Operations Plans - Committee Discussion Only

President Fenberg, chair of the committee, made welcoming remarks and indicated that House members would be joining the committee at a later date.  He talked about the process for updating plans, and indicated that more formal updates would be made at a later date.

agencies updated the committees on their continuity of operations plans.
 Robin Jones, Chief Clerk representing the House, indicated that updates
were made to reflect current staff.

Jenny Page, representing
the State Auditor, said that policies and procedures were consolidated
into a plan.

Cindi Markwell, Secretary
representing the Senate, said that updates were made to the Senate's plan.
 She mentioned that she will forward any questions to Manish Jani,
Legislative Council Staff.

Carolyn Kampman,
Staff Director representing the Joint Budget Committee, said that their
plan was updated.  She mentioned that future rewrites should include
a different format.

Other agencies outlined
their updates, including Legislative Council Staff.  There was a discussion
about future planning, perhaps including an exercise, how to connect with
technology, and impacts on technology.  There was also discussion
about a test of the plan.
