10:38 AM -- SB 16-145

Representative Mitsch Bush and Representative Willett, co-prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 16-145, concerning the formation of subdistricts in the Colorado River Water Conservation District. The bill provides an alternative method for the Colorado River Water Conservation District to form subdistricts. Current law requires that a petition be signed by 50 percent of the property owners in the proposed subdistrict be presented to and approved by a court. The bill changes that petition process. Representative Mitsch Bush distributed Amendment L.003 (Attachment A).
