SB23-010 - Referred to the Committee of the Whole

12:29:12 PM
Representative McLachlan, bill sponsor, introduced Senate Bill 23-010. Under current law, the Water Resources and Agriculture Review Committee is an interim committee that meets up to eight times per year and may take up to two field trips per year. The bill instead makes it a year-round committee that must meet at least four times per year. The bill also removes the limit on the number of field trips the committee may take each year.
12:31:47 PM
Mr. Jordan Beezley, representing Colorado Department of Agriculture, testified in support of the bill. Kelly Romero-Heaney, representing Colorado Department of Natural Resources, testified in support of the bill. Dianna Orf, representing Colorado Water Congress, testified in support of the bill.

The panelists responded to questions from the committee.

12:38:38 PM
Representative McLachlan gave final comments on the bill.
