Representative Espenoza,
prime bill sponsor, and Representative Armagost presented House Bill 25-1128,
concerning the creation of an income tax credit for the purchase of a device
capable of locking that safely stores firearms. For tax years 2027 and
2028 only, the bill creates a state income tax credit for the purchase
of a firearm safety device. Representative Espenoza provided a handout
to the committee (Attachment A).
