the committee (Attachment A).

Taleen Sample and
Aimee Resnick presented Bill #1: "Promoting Crisis Services to Students"
to the committee (Attachment B). The bill requires that schoools promote
the Colorado Crisis Services Program in a way similar to how the Safe2Tell
Program is promoted in schools. Members of the committee asked Ms. Resnick
and Ms. Sample about the bill.  





Sonia Hatfield, Legislative Council Staff, responded to questions from
the committee about the bill's fiscal note (Attachment C). Committee discussion
on the bill continued.

Conrad Imel, Office
of Legislative Legal Services (OLLS), discussed the interim committee process
for assigning sponsorship to the bill.  Represenative McKean designated
himself, Representative McLachlan, Senator Priola, and Senator Moreno as
co-prime sponsors on Bill #1. It was determined that the bill would be
introduced in the House, and OLLS was given permission to make technical
changes to the bill.

Olivia Christiansen
presented  Bill #2: "Higher Education Support for Foster Youth"
to the committee (Attachment D). The bill creates a mechanism to support
foster care youth who are pursuing higher education. Members of the committee
asked Ms. Christiansen questions about the bill.  Committee discussion
on the bill and the related fiscal note ensued.

Aaron Carpenter, Legislative Council Staff, responded to questions from
the committee about the bill's fiscal note (Attachment E).  Committee
discussion on the bill continued.

were designated as co-sponsors on Bill #1 and Bill #2.

Lane, and Karthik Reddy discussed Bill #3: "Colorado Youth Advisory
Council Updates" (Attachment F).  The bill would change the Colorado
Youth Advisory Council (COYAC) leadership structure.  A copy of the
bill's fiscal note was distributed to the committee (Attachment G).  Legislative
members of the committee asked questions of Mr. Sharkey, Mr. Lane, and
Mr. Reddy.
