Approval of Health, Mental Health, and Dental Standards - Committee Discussion Only

subgroup one's round one Health, Mental Health, and Dental Health can be

Commissioner Pogue made comments on the costs the counties will face and
why cost analyses are not being done after each standard. Sheriff Cooper
mentioned concerns of mental health and the problems small counties face.
Ms. Bailey echoed the concerns for small counties. Ms. Buys brought up
concerns about topic 17.

The commission discussed
concerns on topic 17. Mr. Atchity moved to strike bullet point 9 of topic
17. Ms. Saunders-Velez made comments about her concerns. Discussion ensued.
Mr. Atchity withdrew his ammendment.

The commission discussed
if subgroup four has completed all topics regarding staffing. Ms. Bailey
asked for more time to allow subgroup four to review their standards. The
commission approved subgroup four to have more time to finalize their standards
on staffing. Final approval will be moved to the January meeting.



Discussion of Standards on Classification of Persons Experiencing Incarceration - Committee Discussion Only

Subgroup two will be postponing their discussion on their standards concerning communication.

Each subgroup gave an update of their progress. Subgroup four asked for assistance from other commissioners. The enforcement subgroup gave an update and established they will also be addressing cost implementation.
