Speaker Becker called the meeting to order.
 She discussed a draft resolution temporarily adjourning the legislature
for two weeks starting March 14, 2020, and ending at 10:00 a.m. on March
30, 2020.  A copy was distributed to the committee members (Attachment
A).  Committee discussion ensued.

The committee discussed sponsorship of
the resolution.  Speaker Becker spoke about the draft interrogatory
resolution requesting that the Colorado Supreme Court render its opinion
about the permitted length of the legislative session mandated in Section
7 of Article V of the Colorado Constitution (Attachment B).

Committee members commented on the two
draft resolutions.

Committee members continued providing comments
on the two draft resolutions.

The committee discussed sponsorship of
the interrogartory resolution.

Speaker Becker and Majority Leader Fenberg
spoke about the memorandum signed by the Executive Committee members outlining
the policy on the ability of aides, interns, and seasonal staff to work
while the legislature is recessed.

Speaker Becker spoke about two additional
memorandums signed by members of the Executive Committee waiving the statutory
deadlines for the Long Bill and the School Finance Bill (Attachments D
and E).
