Senator Holbert introduced Senate Bill 20-032, concerning employee age to sell alcohol.  The bill requires that employees of retail liquor stores and liquor licensed drugstores who are between the ages of 18 and 21 be supervised by an employee who is at least 21 years old in order to sell alcohol.  The bill also clarifies that employees of liquor licensed drugstores who are between 18 and 21 years of age may not deliver alcohol, but may sell and otherwise have contact with alcohol.  He provided a handout and Amendment L.001 to the committee (Attachments A and B).  He responded to questions from the committee.

Senators Williams and Holbert introduced Senate Bill 20-110, concerning penalties for liquor law violations.  The bill allows liquor licensing authorities additional flexibility to assess fines and raises the range of the fines.

Senator Williams and Senator Tate introduced Senate Bill 20-047 concerning the definition of real estate appraisal.  The bill exempts an agent of a financial institution or its affiliate from the definition of real estates appraiser when his or her analysis is used for internal purposes only.  This exemption conforms with federal law.
