Senators Tate and Jahn, co-prime sponsors, presented House Bill 17-1119, which creates the Uninsured Employer Board and the Colorado Uninsured Employer Fund in the Division of Workers' Compensation of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. The board oversees the fund, which is designed to pay benefits to injured workers whose employers do not have workers' compensation insurance beginning January 1, 2020.
