Senator Moreno, bill
sponsor, presented Senate Bill 21-117 and responded to questions.

The bill:


 aligns
the definition of students in out-of-home placement with the definition
of students who are in the custody of county departments of human or social
services;


 allows
school districts to establish required transportation plans by regions;


 allows
boards of cooperative educational services to establish transportation
plans on behalf of a district, and


 codifies
the use of state-approved invoices and forms related to transportation
services for foster youth.
