Greg Dorman, Department
of Military and Veterans Affairs, introduced the appointees to the Colorado
Board of Veterans Affairs. He summarized their experiences and backgrounds
for the committee.



Lacey Golonka, appointee to the Board, appeared remotely and described
her experience and interest in serving on the Board. Her resume and application

Senator Fields, bill sponsor, presented House Bill 21-1229. The bill makes several changes to the regulations for home owners’ associations.

John Meeks, American Resort Development Association (ARDA), testified in an amend position.

Senator Gonzales, bill sponsor, presented HB 21-1313. The bill allows the Office of the Child Protection Ombudsman (CPO) to self-initiate an independent and impartial investigation and ongoing review of the safety and well-being of unaccompanied immigrant children residing in a state-licensed residential child care facility and who are in the custody of the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement.

Lisa Ward, representing Denver Health, testified in support of the bill. Deputy Child Protection Ombudsman Jordan Steffen, representing The Office of Colorado's Child Protection Ombudsman, was available to answer committee questions.

Senator Buckner and Senator Sonnenberg, bill sponsors, presented House Bill 21-1297. The bill establishes requirements and restrictions on health insurance carrier and pharmacy benefit manager business practices, and establishes standards for responding to consumer requests for benefit data.
