House Bill 20-1167, concerning the relocation of the definition of "alternative
fuel" in the Colorado Revised Statutes.  The bill proposes relocating
the definition from the air quality control section to the Department of
Personnel motor vehicle fleet system.  There are no longer any references
to the term in the air quality control section.  The bill also makes
conforming amendments and corrects cross references in the statutes.

annual fleet overweight permit for a commercial motor vehicle fleet that
includes both vehicles that have a quad axle grouping and vehicle combinations
with a trailer that has two or three axles.

HB20-1155 - Amended, referred to the Committee of the Whole

Senator Hansen, prime sponsor, introduced
House Bill 20-1155, concerning requirements that builders of new residences
offer buyers options to accomodate higher efficiency devices.  The
bill requires home builders to offer a solar panel or solar thermal system;
prewiring or preplumb
ing to accomodate solar systems;
or a chase or wire for prewiring or preplumbing.  New Home builders
are also required to offer an electric vehicle charging system; upgraded
wiring to accomodate a future electric vehicle charging system; or a 210
to 240-volt alternating current plug near motor vehicle parking.  The
bill also requires new home builders to offer electric heating.  These
requirements apply to single family homes and condominiums.
