The panel of presenters
from the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) came to the table.
A copy of their presentation can be found as Attachment D. Deputy Director
Cohen provided information about the transition of certain programs and
services from CDHS to CDEC including key dates and legislation.  Katy
Morrison, Acting Deputy Executive Director of Administrative Services,
CDHS, gave an overview of the interagency agreement and how it supports
CDEC including details on human resources contracts and emergency management.
 Joseph Homlar, Director, Division of Child Welfare, CDHS gave an
overview of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Division of Child
Welfare and CDEC.

Director Homlar continued
explaining the Memorandum of Understanding. He detailed partnerships with
different boards and task forces covered in the memorandum. Members of
the commission asked follow-up questions.

Dr. Morgan Medlock,
Director, Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), gave an overview of the
BHA's vision for children, youth, and family programs including their missions
and values.

Chris Meyer, Senior Advisor for Children, Youth, and Families, BHA, went
over program focuses on children, youth, and family for the BHA including
gender responsive services and a school-based mental health specialist
program.

Director Medlock went over cross-department collaboration including agreements
and councils created.

Members of the commission commented and asked follow-up questions.
