Keith McLaughlin, Executive Director, Colorado Water Resources and Power Development Authority (CWRPDA), introduced CWRPDA's work issuing loans for water projects around the state. He introduced the two appointees to the Authority, Chris Treese and Bruce Whitehead. Mr. McLaughlin responded to questions from the committee.

SB23-032 - Referred to Senate Appropriations

Senator Simpson and Senator Ginal, co-prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 23-032 to the committee. The bill requires that the Center for Excellence for Advanced Technology Aerial Firefighting in the Department of Public Safety implement one or more pilot programs using remote camera technology to detect, identify, or confirm the existence of wildfires. The center may acquire or contract for artificial intelligence technologies as part of the pilot program. The bill directs agencies of state and local governments to provide information, assistance, and site access as necessary for the program’s implementation.
