Bill Summary

Limitations of civil actions - limitation on action to recover damages from an act of domestic violence. The act states that any civil action to recover damages caused by an act of domestic violence must be commenced within 6 years after a disability has been removed for a person under disability or within 6 years after a cause of action accrues, whichever occurs later, except that in no event many any such civil action be commenced more than 20 years after the cause of action accrues.
