Senators Rodriguez and Daugherty, co-prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 25-183, concerning coverage for certain pregnancy-related services. The bill requires the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing to cover abortion care services for Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus program participants using state funds, and for public employee insurance plans to cover abortion care services for plan members. It also makes conforming amendments to codify Amendment 79 into state law.

The bill sponsors distributed Amendment L.001 to clarify potential expenses that go beyond the fiscal note (Attachment C).
