The committee came back to order.

Representatives Zokaie and Willford, co-prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 25-144: Change Paid Family Medical Leave Insurance Program. The bill extends the duration a parent with a child receiving inpatient care in a neonatal intensive care unit may receive FAMLI benefits, and makes changes to premium amounts collected from employees. The sponsors distributed Amendment L006  (Attachment E) and answered questions from members of the committee.

Meghan MacKillop, representing Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative, testified in support of the bill. Dan Jablan, representing American Council Of Life Insurers (ACLI), testified to amend the bill. Kaitlin Altone, representing 9to5 Colorado, testified in support of the bill. Ms. Sophie Mariam, representing CFI, testified in support of the bill. Mr. David Gallivan, representing the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment - FAMLI division, was available to answer committee questions.
