The committee returned to order. Representative Gonzalez, co-prime sponsor, presented Senate Bill 25-027. The bill creates a work group in the Department of Public Safety to develop recommendations for the use of trauma-informed practices in conducting school safety drills.

Meghan Raynes, representing the Colorado Education Association, testified in support of the bill. Mr. Joe Hanel, representing the Colorado Health Institute, was available to answer committee questions. The witnesses responded to committee questions.
