Representatives Brown and R. Stewart, co-prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 25-163. The bill creates a program in the Department of Public Health and Environment for collecting and recycling batteries. The sponsors provided amendment L.014 (Attachment D).

Jacob Smith, representing Colorado Communities for Climate Action, testified in support of the bill. Wolf Kray, representing the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, was available to answer committee questions. The witnesses responded to committee questions.
