02:19 PM -- HB 16-1025
Representative Arndt, sponsor, introduced House Bill 16-1025. Multiple insurance companies that are owned or controlled by one entity are considered a group. This bill expands the definition of "renewal" or "to renew" when used with an automobile insurance policy, to clarify that a policy that replaces an expired policy, may be issued by another admitted company within the same insurance group, rather than the issuer of the original policy.
02:22 PM -- Dan Jablan, Farmers Insurance and the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCIAA), testified in support of the bill. Mr. Jablan responded to questions from the committee.
02:25 PM -- Stephanie Paswaters and Bobbie Baca, Colorado Division of Insurance, responded to questions from the committee.
02:28 PM
Mr. Jablan, Ms. Paswaters, and Ms. Baca continued to respond to questions from the committee.
