Gretchen Bliss, Director of Cybersecurity Programs at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, provided an overview of the requirements prescribed in Senate Bill 18-086. Ms. Bliss discussed the program at her university and answered questions from the committee.

Dr. Stephen Lovaas, Chief Information Security Officer at Colorado State University discussed cybersecurity education in the CSU system, particularly Fort Collins and Spur.

Dr. Andrea Corrego, Department Chair at Metropolitan State University, discussed enrollment and cybersecurity funding use at MSU Denver.
 

Allison Cortez, Chief of Staff for Pikes Peak State College, Dr. Jessica Young, Provost at Western Colorado University, and Dr. Ram Basnet, Co-Director of the Cyber Security Center at Colorado Mesa University, shared the impacts of the SB18-086 funding at their institutions for FY25-26.

Bernadette Maisel, Director of Growth and Development at the National Cybersecurity Center, discussed the utilization of the SB18-086 funding and their new public service model.

Dr. Corrego summarized concerns from the higher education institutions regarding funding.
