Senator Cutter, primary bill sponsor, introduced Senate Bill 26-1040, which repeals the processes for the sterilization of an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), makes conforming changes, and prohibits the sterilization of an individual with IDD against their will, unless the person is incapable of making decisions and there is an imminent threat to life or health.
