Senator Garcia called the conference committee to order.

Representative Herod explained the changes made to the bill by the House Judiciary Committee.  She noted that after further consideration the changes were not necessary.  She referenced a document from the Department of Corrections about parole caseloads and intensive supervision program - inmate (ISP-I) (Attachment A).

The conference committee members reviewed the conference committee report (Attachment B).  They  agreed upon the report and discussed repealing the bill a year earlier (from 2021 to 2020) in an effort to better monitor the prison population and assess the need for the emergency use of the Centennial South facility.
