Representatives Soper and Joseph, prime sponsors, presented House Bill 24-1077.  The bill eliminates the requirement that paper copies of will be kept by courts indefinitely, specifies time periods for holding paper copies based on whether a probate filing has been made, requires courts to make and maintain an electronic record of wills for 100 years after the time period for holding the paper copy has passed. Representative Soper explained the effect of the bill and discussed its need.  Representative Joseph provided additional input on the bill.
