The primary bill
sponsor, Representative Bradfield, introduced House Bill 25-1070 to the
House Health and Human Services Committee. The bill repeals the requirement
that electroconvulsive treatment (ECT) must be necessary to treat life-threatening
malignant catatonia. The bill also permits a minor to object to ECT and
outlines the process for adjudication. However, a minor may not object
if ECT is medically necessary to treat life-threatening malignant catatonia. |
