Senators Will and Bridges, co-prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 24-090, concerning possession of identifying information while driving, and in connection therewith, increasing the penalty for a driver who refuses to provide to a peace officer identifying information that is in the driver's possession. 

The bill sponsors explained the bill's intent.  They requested to complete the testimony phase and then lay the bill over for amendments.

Committee members asked questions about, increased penalties, probable cause, and false arrests, as it relates to the bill.
