The bill allows a candidate committee to spend campaign contributions for reasonable and necessary childcare expenses that the candidate incurs directly in connection with his or her campaign. The committee is required to disclose these expenditures in the same manner as any other campaign expenditures. Representative Gonzales-Gutierrez distributed a letter in support of the bill from Secretary of State Jena Griswold (Attachment H).
