and Rich, co-prime sponsors, introduced House Bill 21-1028 concerning the
creation of an affordable housing report by the Division of Housing, Department
of Local Affairs.  The bill specifies that the report, due October
1 each year starting in 2021, will provide the total amount received by
federal, state, public, or private funds, as well as the amount spent on
the provision of affordable housing loans or grants.

and Gonzales-Gutierrez, co-prime sponsors, summarized House Bill 21-1117,
concerning the ability of local goverments to promote the development of
new affordable housing units through their existing authority to regulate
land use within territorial boundaries.  The bill provides that the
rent control statute does not apply to land use regulations that restrict
rent on new or redeveloped housing, as long as the property owner or developer
are provided options and alternatives to new affordable housing units on
the building site.
