sponsor, presented Senate Bill 23-069 Requirements To Operate A Motorboat
to the committee.  The bill prohibits any individual under the age
of 16 from operating a motorboat and requires anyone born after January
1, 1984 to take a boating safety course and have a boating safety certificate
while operating a motorboat.  Senator Will answered questions from
the committee about the bill.

Senator Gardner, sponsor, presented Senate Bill 23-055 Car Sharing Program
Sales Use And Ownership Tax to the committee.  The bill requires peer-to-peer
car sharing programs to verify that shared car owners have paid sales and
use and specific ownership taxes, or acquired their car tax-free on the
condition that sales and use tax is collected when the car is rented.
