Concerning the timing of the enactment of the "Interstate Compact on Placement of Children".
Bill Summary:
In 1975, the general assembly enacted the original "Interstate Compact on Placement of Children" (compact). In 2024, the general assembly enacted an updated version of the compact. The act clarifies that the original compact remains in effect until the updated compact is enacted into law by 35 states.
