Subjects:

Transportation & Motor Vehicles
Bill Summary

The statewide transportation advisory committee (STAC), which advises the department of transportation (CDOT) regarding the needs of transportation systems in the state and reviews and comments on the regional transportation plans submitted for the 15 state transportation planning regions (TPRs), has consisted of one representative from each TPR, and CDOT rules have also allowed the Southern Ute and Ute Mountain Ute tribes to each appoint one nonvoting representative to the STAC. The act expands the statutory membership of the STAC to include one representative from each of the tribes as a full-fledged voting member and expresses the intent of the general assembly that these representatives replace the nonvoting representatives.
