Volunteer Opportunities

NOW RECRUITING VOLUNTEER TOUR GUIDES FOR SUMMER/FALL 2023!

We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly volunteers with an interest in Colorado history and state government, who enjoy working with the public, to lead tours, staff the gift desk, museum and dome observation area, and provide visitors with concierge type services.

Work Study Opportunities for DU, MSUD, and UCD Students

Eligible work-study applicants with an interest in Colorado history and state government who enjoy working with the public are encouraged to apply for a work-study position at the Capitol. Capitol guides are responsible for leading tours, staffing the gift desk, museum, and dome observation area, providing visitors with concierge type services, and some light clerical work.

Summer Guide Opportunities

Each Spring, Visitor Services invites candidates to apply for this 12-week temporary paid position that includes one week (35 hours) unpaid vacation. Position involves providing tours and light clerical support at the Colorado State Capitol.  The ideal candidate will have an interest in Colorado history and state government and enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
