Beginning January 1, 2025, the bill classifies a county coroner and deputy coroner elected, reelected, or appointed on or after January 1, 2021, as state troopers for the purpose of determining the county coroner's or deputy coroner's public employees' retirement association service retirement eligibility and benefits.
