Bill Summary

Accreditation - performance indicators - military enlistment. For purposes of determining the level of attainment of each public high school, each school district, the state charter school institute, and the state as a whole on the postsecondary and workforce readiness performance indicator for accreditation, the act adds enlistment in the military within a year of graduation as a measure of performance. The department of education shall weight military enlistment equally with enrollment in postsecondary institutions for purposes of determining the level of attainment on the performance indicator.
